Still Beautiful after 50 years :)!

This past week, (as most of you know) my most beloved mother, has been alive a half a century!! We still love her. We made her breakfast in bed (or in her case, on the couch) and Ashton said to her happily "Happy half-a-century mom!!!". Of COURSE we all laughed! Anyway, here is a picture of our beloved aunt, daughter, sister, mom, mother-in-law and great-aunt!!

Another BIG day at our house - that began with finishing some intense to do's ... then family prayer, a father's blessing, a slice of spinach sausage pie (cal's fav) - then a drive across town in a blizzard, to the "EMPTY SEA" - (actually not so empty on Wednesdays) - and finished there with intense emotions - even hard on Ashton this time around.

And now back home as we sigh and relax - we're thinking that Calvin will not have a chance to sigh or relax until "lights out" at 10:30 pm - when he'll drop like a fly! And we wonder how in the world he'll wake to an alarm tomorrow morning at 6.
We're debating our spring break plans (flash flooding down at 'delicate arch' where we wanted to head tomorrow) Do i have any energy to get out of town or even make a plan?
... The girls vote for flipping Calvin's tornado hit room into Carmen's own room (a first) - What's your vote??

OK Amie & Sue, by "2 day" i really just meant that after all the baking stages that should not be rushed, then you still have to wait for it to cool and chill...  so basically overnight!

(It's hard for me, and for all of us to leave it alone once we know it has been created)

Note: i reduce the sugar by almost half.

Maya's Update

If you remember, I posted back in February: Ouch!!! Well, if you look closely, then you can see the gap between my top front teeth. It's closed!!! Here is a picture. I also changed my colors. I also got my 6th grade shots today. :( Not fun!! Anyway... yah that's my update. Also, if any of you can relate to my situation, all my 6th grade friends have totally not been the same. :( Most of them I've been with since Kindergarten. Now they're flipping and flopping on me. Anyway, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I hope this makes up for it :)
